The Studio sits at the top of the original house — a single, generous room under a sloped roof, with a small wood-burning stove and a window that looks down into the courtyard. It is the smallest of the five cottages, and quietly the most loved.
Designed for one or two travellers who like to settle in. The kitchenette is built into a 1930s pantry. The bathroom is a small but considered space, tiled in hand-glazed Cape clay. Mornings begin with the bells from the old Lutheran church two streets down; nights end early.
